? ? DID YOU KNOW ? ?
Out of the estimated amount of 150 million children living in orphanages today, over 80% of them aren’t actually 'orphan's at all…

STATISTICS SHOW;
♥ 80% OF CHILDREN IN ORPHANAGES IN SRI LANKA & HAITI,
♥ 88% OF THOSE IN LIBERIA
♥ 90% OF CHILDREN IN GHANA
♥ 94% IN INDONESIA
♥ 97% IN EUROPE
HAVE AT LEAST ONE LIVING PARENT…
These parents simply cannot afford to look after them due to their current state of poverty. Poverty forces them to make the agonising decision to part with their child, in the blind, desperate hope that they’ll have a better future with somebody else, somebody with money. We do not believe money should ever be a motivator for family separation.
Our main motivator for opening our Children’s Home has always been to provide children who haven’t a place to call home or people to care about them, with both. The children who truly need just that will always be happily welcomed there & we’ll do absolutely everything possible to find them a loving forever home. But this 80%+ of children, were not left at orphanage doors due to a lack of love… Their parents who made such a selfless sacrifice for what they think will be best for their child, display the highest form of unconditional love & it makes zero sense to us to add to the promotion of these children being taken away from those who truly care about them.
Furthermore; research shows that not only is ‘institutional care’ 4 times more expensive than providing health, education & social support to keep a child with their family but also that children can only reach their full development potential in a family environment & can lose up to a month of development for every 3 months they spend in care. So from every angle, the need to relieve the needless institutionalization of children who have parent/s who, given a bit of help, could look after them, is imperative. We believe in the importance of aiding these families to remain united & be given opportunity to grow, together..
